WELCOME TO KIDPROV CHICAGO!
Kidprov Chicago is about helping children discover the confidence, spontaneity, creativity, trust, and listening skills that each child innately possesses. Through creative exercises and improv games the children develop their strengths further. Fun and empowerment are our goals as children play utilizing their imaginations to learn the basics of improvisation.
At Kidprov Chicago every mistake is a gift and all silliness is to be celebrated. In addition to the excitement and friendships our classes bring, they also teach a deeper connection with others, our surroundings, and our own selves. Our philosophy is that the trust and social skills that improv builds upon can help set children up for success both socially and emotionally. Our weekly one-hour class will lead up to a fun-loving performance for family and friends the final Saturday morning.
Our classes are taught by a duo with a combined 55 years of improv experience that began at the University of Chicago. One is a veteran improv teacher who has worked with kids (and adults) of all ages at The Second City in Chicago and ACME Comedy Theatre in Los Angeles, while the other is a lead elementary teacher at one of Chicago’s premier progressive institutions, Francis W. Parker School.
Our Saturday morning classes at Chase Park run for ten weeks. Classes are currently available for children ages 5-13. Space in our classes is extremely limited and expected to fill quickly, so please sign up now to avoid being put on a waiting list. We are excited to bring you and your child into our troupe!
